George Reinblatt is a television writer, comedy writer, and playwright who works in both Canada and the USA. His writing has been featured on NBC, ABC, Comedy Central, Comedy Network, CTV, CBC, SiriusXM, MuchMusic, Fuse, CMT, Global, HDNet, TeleToon, and Hulu. He has been nominated for three Canadian Screen Awards. And if that’s not enough, he also wrote the book & lyrics for Evil Dead The Musical that has mounted over 500 productions around the world.

George has been a writer on multiple Comedy Central Roasts including the Roast of Justin Bieber, the Roast of Bruce Willis, the Roast of James Franco, and the Roast of Rob Lowe.

George is the head writer and executive producer of Roast Battle Canada (4 seasons). He also was a writer for Comedy Central’s Roast Battle in the USA (3 seasons). George was co-producer of the Comedy Central special Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals: Live at Brazos County Jail (a comedy special shot in an actual prison). He was a writer for  seasons on Comedy Central’s The Burn. He also wrote material for the Friars Club Roasts of Quentin Tarrantino, Boomer Esiason., and Betty White. 

Of course, George’s writing is not all about roasting.  George was a writer and Supervising Producer for three seasons on the hit Canadian comedy series, Mr. D (CBC, Prime).  

On the comedy side, George has written for the likes of Steve Martin, Tina Fey, John Cleese, Seth Rogen, Kevin Hart, Sarah Silverman, Snoop Dogg, Jewel, Justin Bieber, Blake Griffin, Martha Stewart, LMFAO, Rob Lowe, Jeff Ross, Katy Perry, Joan Rivers, Ludacris, Lenny Henry, Kelly Ripa, and many more.  

George was a contributing monologue writer for the Arsenio Hall Show, a writer for NBC New Years with Carson Daly. He wrote a series of Bruush toothbrush commercials for Kevin Hart. And George wrote material for both John Cleese's latest special and Howard Stern's Birthday Bash

And if that wasn’t enough, up in Canada, George  was the head writer of the MuchMusic Video Awards (2 years), and wrote for Rick Mercer’s Monday Report, Canada’s Walk of Fame, Match Game, Just For Laughs, and George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight

But to many, what George may be best known for is writing the book and lyrics to the hit Off-Broadway show Evil Dead The Musical. Evil Dead has mounted over 500 productions across the world including New York, Toronto, Chicago, Las Vegas, Tokyo, Madrid, Seoul, and many more.  It has had three very successful North American tours.  It won the Dora Audience Choice Award for Toronto’s Favourite Show, the Korean Tony for Best Small Musical Production, and was nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award in New York for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Musical.  The cast album for Evil Dead The Musical even debuted at #4 on the Worldwide Billboard Charts (for cast albums).
